Moore will decide between his top four schools on July 4: the Oregon Ducks, Ohio State Buckeyes, LSU Tigers, and Texas. Moore officially visited all four of his top schools early this summer.

The No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking was once committed to LSU since last August. But he backed off his commitment to LSU a couple of months ago before summer official visits.

Texas was trending in the race to land Moore's commitment during summer visits. After Moore backed off his commitment to LSU, Texas started to pick up a lot of steam here and looked like they woiuld eventually be the pick for the elite wide receiver from South Dallas.

But Oregon and Ohio State have not relented in this recruitment in the past month. Moore had great official visits to both schools, especially Oregon.

Oregon also has the connection to Moore with assistant coach Ra'Shaad Samples, who is the son of longtime Duncanville football head coach Reginald Samples. The Ducks are not going away quietly with this one and have really given Moore something to think about with his decision this summer.

Moore has had great things to say about both Oregon (June 21) and Texas (June 14) since he took his official visits to each school back in June. He told On3 that Texas feels like home and that he loves the track record of recent player development and offensive success under head coach Steve Sarkisian.

"It’s always going to be home. It’s close to family, so that’s one major thing it could come down to when I’m thinking about Texas. Obviously they got great NIL, everybody knows that. But I’m looking forward to seeing something else besides that and seeing what they’ve got to show me. They’ve developed players since they pulled them in, and even players that haven’t been so big out of high school."

He also likes what Oregon offers regarding the ability to get out and experience something new. The facilities and NIL also offers Moore something different from the Oregon perspective.

"Oregon is just it’s different on so many levels. Their recruitment process is second to none. You will have a relationship with everybody from the head coach to the water boy. That’s how Oregon is and it’s a genuine relationship with everybody."
