The big news earlier this week that the elite five-star Duncanville (TX) wide receiver Dakorien Moore re-opened his recruitment seems to be trending well for Texas in the last few days. Since Moore decommitted from LSU on May 16, Texas has started trending in this recruitment.

Moore will officially visit three schools this summer before he's likely to make a decision before the start of his senior season this fall. His official visit schedule starts on May 31, when he visits Columbus to see Ohio State and head coach Ryan Day.

Then, Moore makes the trip to Austin for his official visit to Texas on June 14. That will be Moore's first time in Austin for a visit since spring practice in April.

Last, Moore will make the hike up to Eugene to see head coach Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. Oregon has made a big push in this recruitment since late last fall. The addition of new assistant head coach/running backs coach Ra'Shaad Samples to Lanning's coaching staff at Oregon has helped the Ducks with Moore.

Samples has a long-established connection with Moore. He's the son of longtime Duncanville head coach Reginald Samples.

Texas is considered the favorite to win Moore's recruitment when he puts pen to paper on signing day. But Oregon looks like it could give the Longhorns a run for their money to land Moore, especially since the Ducks get the final official visit from him in June.
