Priority 5-Star WR Dakorien Moore sets Texas official visit
Mike Roach of 247Sports reported on May 17 that Texas football five-star wide receiver priority target Dakorien Moore has his official visit schedule set for the summer. Moore has the three schools in mind he wants to officially visit after he made waves around the college football recruiting landscape with his decommitment from the LSU Tigers on the night of May 16.
Texas football schedules mid-June official visit with elite WR Dakorien Moore
The elite wide receiver recruit from Duncanville (TX) will officially visit three schools in late May and June, including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, and Texas. Here's his complete official visit schedule for this summer.
Ohio State: May 31
Texas: June 14
Oregon: June 21
LSU was originally scheduled to get an official visit from Moore this summer. But it sounds like that visit will be canceled as LSU is out of the running in this recruitment.
Moore posted on his X account on May 17 that his recruitment is not open. He is expected to decide between Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon before the start of his senior season at Duncanville.
Texas is obviously hoping that they can get him to shut down his recruitment during his mid-June official visit. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have kept their foot on the gas in this recruitment for a long time, going back to the start of Moore's high school football career.
Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson have remained in constant communication with Moore. The No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking also has an excellent relationship with special assistant Chris Gilbert.
It's also noteworthy that many of Moore's family members still live in Austin and he has close ties to the area.
