Texas football got a big commitment along the offensive line at offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class on Aug. 23, landing Loganville (GA) Grayson four-star Nick Brooks. The big 6-foot-7 and 360-pound offensive tackle, originally from Cedar Rapids, IA, picked Texas over the USC Trojans and Georgia Bulldogs on Friday afternoon.

Can Texas football continue the momentum on the trail after landing 4-Star OT Nick Brooks?

Brooks is Texas's fifth offensive line commit in the 2025 class but the first offensive tackle pledge in the mix. Texas might be done with recruiting along the offensive line for the 2025 cycle unless any potential flip targets emerge for Kyle Flood and Co. in the next few months this fall.

Texas is up to 17 commitments in the 2025 class after getting Brooks in the boat to kick off this big weekend on the recruiting trail. The Longhorns have a couple of other big upcoming decisions from key targets in and out-of-state in the 2025 class late this summer on Saturday.

Here's a prediction of the next recruit to commit to the Longhorns in the 2025 class after getting Brooks in the boat on Aug. 23.

Aidan Anding, CB

Decision date: Aug. 24

The first of two upcoming decisions that involves the Longhorns in the 2025 class late this summer on the trail is three-star Ruston (LA) cornerback Aidan Anding. The No. 2 cornerback recruit from Louisiana in the 2025 class will decide between the LSU Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Texas on Aug. 24.

Texas hosted Anding for an official visit during the summer in mid-to-late June. Arkansas and LSU also received visits from Anding in the past couple of months.

Terry Joseph and the Longhorns coaching staff has done a nice job in this recruitment. Had Anding announced earlier in ths summer, Texas probably would've been the pick here. And it's still theoretically in the realm of possibility that Texas is the pick when Anding announces tomorrow.

But LSU is the favorite entering Anding's decision date in a little under 24 hours from now.
