On3 Recruiting released their latest rankings of the top recruits for the class of 2025 prospects and future Longhorns were all over it.

Highlighted by four-star edge rusher Smith Orgobo at No. 26, multiple Texas commits were ranked in the top 100.

Fellow four-star edge rusher and Longhorn commit Lance Jackson was in the top 100 at No. 37 in the nation, after previously being ranked No. 49.

Cornerback Cade Phillips earned a four-star rating and is committed to the Horns but fell just outside of the top 100, landing at No. 105 in the class.

Steve Sarkisian has lost out on several highly rated recruits, to programs like the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Oregon Ducks but On3’s latest list should provide reassurance that Texas will be just fine.

Most recently, four-star cornerback Kade Phillips committed to Texas in a much-needed recruiting win for Sark and the Horns.

Quite a few prospects who are projected to land with the Longhorns but have yet to commit were ranked highly including four-star wide receiver Kadiq Lockett at No. 12, four-star Michael Terry III at No. 16, and four-star OT Michael Fasusi at No. 32.

The top five players in On3’s latest ranking land as follows:

5. Will Black – Five-star offensive tackle – Committed to Notre Dame
4. D.J. Pickett – Five-star cornerback – Projected to commit to LSU
3. Dakorien Moore – Five-star wide receiver – Committed to Oregon
2. Elijah Griffin – Five-star defensive lineman – Projected to commit to Georgia
1. Bryce Underwood – Five-star quarterback – Committed to LSU

As Sarkisian and the rest of his staff continue their work on the recruiting trail, Texas fans should rest assured that more commitments will come.

Longhorns just need to hope that their head coach can keep pace with the other top-tier programs in the nation
