This is the most winnable game that the Longhorns have remaining on the regular season slate. Terry and the Longhorns can ill afford to slip up in the few remaining opportunities that they have to get closer to 20 wins on the season before Selection Sunday.
A win over the Pokes could also propel the Longhorns in to the top half of the Big 12 standings. Any seeding advantages would be huge for the Longhorns in the gauntlet that is the Big 12 again this season for the conference tournament in a couple of weeks.
Texas has found plenty of recent success against the Pokes on the hardwood. The Longhorns swept the season series against Oklahoma State last year, winning all three contests including one in the Big 12 Tournament.
