There is something big brewing for Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian in the 2024 recruiting class this weekend. With just a few days remaining before signing day on Dec. 20, Texas is on the brink of potentially landing a few important commitments from the portal, and the high school ranks in the 2024 class.

Essentially all the potential commitments on the radar for the Longhorns this weekend in the 2024 class are currently on campus visiting Austin. Texas has a few official visitors on campus among the high school recruits in the 2024 class.

Who Texas football could flip among high school recruits in the 2024 class this weekend?

There are also two portal visitors confirmed for the Longhorns on campus as we speak.

As of the writing of this article on the afternoon of Dec. 16, Texas has yet to land any commitments. But that will likely soon change as the Longhorns look to get this portal class off the ground and put some of the finishing touches on high school recruiting in the 2024 class before signing day next week.

Here are three visiting recruits for the Longhorns from the high school ranks who Texas could flip this weekend.

Alex Foster, DL (Baylor commit)

Texas is hosting three-star Baylor Bears commit and Greenville (MS) St. Joseph's defensive lineman Alex Foster for an official visit in Austin this weekend. It was confirmed that Foster arrived on campus for the official visit on Dec. 15.

This is Foster's first return visit to Texas since he made a multi-day unofficial trip to Austin for the Black Friday win at DKR over the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Foster's recruitment is one that feels like it hinges on how much Texas pushes to flip his commitment from Baylor. Texas is still looking at some other defensive line targets in the 2024 class heading into signing day, namely Texas A&M Aggies commits (5-Star) Dominick McKinley and (4-Star) Dealyn Evans.

If Texas pushes for a commitment from Foster, I'd imagine they would feel good about getting him in this class heading into signing day next week.
