Texas football has multiple defensive line flip targets in the 2025 class on their radar for this fall on the recruiting trail. In the past month or so, Texas has offered multiple defensive line prospects in the class of 2025 from Georgia who are currently committed to other P4 schools around the country.

3-Star Florida DL commit Joseph Mbatchou being prioritized by Texas football on the recruiting trail this fall

Two of the bigger names to watch among defensive linemen in the 2025 class from Georgia that Texas offered in the last month and are committed to other SEC schools are three stars Joseph Mbatchou and Caleb Bell.

Bell, the son of former NFL linebacker Kendrell Bell, was offered by Texas back in August and is currently committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Mbatchou, meanwhile, is a high-upside defensive tackle prospect with insane physical tools and wingspan and is currently committed to the Florida Gators and head coach Billy Napier.

The three-star defensive lineman from Loganville (GA) Grayson High School is has seen his stock skyrocket on the recruiting trail in the last few weeks. In the past three weeks alone, Mbatchou has picked up offers from the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, Alabama Crimson Tide, USC Trojans, and Texas.

Per OTF's Gerry Hamilton, Texas's coaching staff and Kenny Baker are "going all in" on Mbatchou's recruitment on the trail this fall for the 2025 class. Earlier this week, Mbatchou reportedly had a call with multiple Texas coaches to discuss his recruitment entering the fall.

Mbatchou is scheduled to make a gameday visit to DKR unofficially to see the Longhorns host the UL-Monroe Warhawks in Austin on Sep. 21.

Current Texas four-star offensive tackle commit in the 2025 class, Nick Brooks, is teammates with Mbatchou at Grayson High School in Loganville, GA. It sounds like there is a possibility that they both make the trip to Austin for the matchup between the Longhorns and Warhawks at DKR in a few weeks.

Other schools Mbatchou is reportedly looking to visit for gamedays this fall are to see the Auburn Tigers and Georgia.

Texas has been in consistent communication with multiple out-of-state defensive tackle flip targets in the 2025 class since late summer on the recruiting trail.

Some other top targets the Longhorns are looking to flip along the defensive line before signing day for this cycle this fall are four-star Florida State commits Kevin Wynn and Myron Charles.
