Dallas Wilson, WR (Oregon commit)

It's no secret that Oregon and head coach Dan Lanning have been a thorn in the side of the Longhorns on the recruiting trail for 2025 this summer. Oregon has really pulled out all the stops, along with Phil Knight making major NIL commitments to help the Ducks get a championship in the Big Ten in the near future.

A longtime Oregon commitment that Sarkisian, WR coach Chris Jackson, and the Longhorns have remained in serious contact with for the last few months is five-star Tampa Bay Tech (FL) wide receiver Dallas Wilson.

Texas pushed to get Wilson to campus for an official visit in June. And while that never came to be, the Longhorns will keep pushing to chip away at his commitment to Oregon through the finish line on signing day.

Wilson recently reaffirmed his commitment to Oregon earlier this week. However, that doesn't mean that Texas will throw in the towel in this recruitment.

Sarkisian and Jackson have made it very clear how good they think Wilson is and how much he can help them on the field on the offensive side of the ball. It really goes to show how much Texas likes Wilson that in a class where there are so many elite wide receiver targets they've been in contact with recently that Dallas is still one of their top guys for this cycle.

We'll know if Texas's pursuit of Wilson on the recruiting trail and their odds to realistically flip him from Oregon before signing day becomes real if and when he shows on campus for a visit for a gameday at DKR this fall.
