Texas football is preparing for one of the biggest games on their schedule this season, the Michigan Wolverines. They are going up against the team that went undefeated and won the National Championship against the Washington Huskies.

However, the Longhorns were inches away from playing them in the National Championship game last season. Here are four bold predictions for the Texas Longhorns this weekend against the Wolverines.

Texas football bold predictions vs. Michigan: 4. Holding Michigan to under 150 rushing yards

My first bold prediction is that the Longhorns will hold the Michigan Wolverines to under 120 rushing yards. Michigan loves to run the ball, so it will be a tall task for the Texas Longhorns to stop their rushing attack.

The Longhorns' defense made the Rams look like a one-dimensional team last week. If the Longhorns want to beat the Wolverines this week, they must stop their running attack. If the defense can hold them under 150 yards rushing, that would be a big statement on national television.

3. Each of the starting receivers gets a touchdown

I mentioned in the pregame article last week that the Longhorns' receiving core is lethal. The Longhorns have so many weapons that the opponent's defense has to "pick their poison." My second bold prediction is that the Longhorns' starting receivers will each get a touchdown against the Wolverines. I wouldn't be mad if one of the Longhorns' receivers got multiple touchdowns; however, I expect various receivers to find the endzone for Texas.

2. Quinn Ewers rushes for a couple of TD's

Quinn Ewers has shown in the past that he can scramble. That's why my third bold prediction is that Ewers will rush for a couple of touchdowns. Michigan will probably blitz the Longhorns when they are in the red zone, and Ewers will escape for six points.

While he only has six career rushing touchdowns, I'm sure Ewers will get his first of many rushing touchdowns. It will be a storyline to watch when the Longhorns enter the Michigan red zone.

1. Longhorns get a pick six

Last week, the Longhorns got an interception to seal the shutout victory over the Rams. My last bold prediction is that the Longhorns will get a pick-six against the Wolverines. I don't know during what part of the game it will happen, but it will give the Longhorns a giant momentum swing to win the game on Saturday.

Enjoy the game on Saturday and cheer on the Longhorns to victory.
