After the season's first three weeks, No. 1 Texas football is pretty banged up entering the upcoming matchup this weekend against the UL-Monroe Warhawks at home. Head coach Steve Sarkisian updated the injury statuses for a handful of key Texas players entering the Week 4 matchup against ULM.

Here's a look at the full injury report for the Week 4 matchup between No. 1 Texas and UL-Monroe at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX, on Sep. 21 at 7 p.m. CT.

Texas football injury report vs. UL-Monroe

CJ Baxter Jr., RB (Out)

Sophomore CJ Baxter Jr. is out for the 2024 season after suffering a torn ligament in his knee during fall camp. Baxter posted an update on his rehab process on social media on Sep. 18.

Christian Clark, RB (Out)

True freshman Christian Clark is also out for the entire 2024 season after he suffered a torn Achilles during fall practice. Clark and Baxter have both remained heavily involved with the team and are in good spirits regarding their rehab processes before their expected returns for 2025.

Jaydon Blue, RB (Questionable)

Sarkisian said junior running back Jaydon Blue is a "game-time decision" for the matchup against ULM this weekend. Blue suffered an ankle sprain in Texas's double-digit win against Michigan on the road a couple of weeks ago.

Blue was held out of the Longhorns' win over the UTSA Roadrunners at home last weekend, mostly for precautionary reasons.

Tre Wisner, RB (Probable)

In the middle of Texas's win over UTSA last Saturday, sophomore running back Tre Wisner suffered a "tweak" injury. Sarkisian and the Longhorns staff kept Wisner on the sidelines in the second half against UTSA last weekend.

Quinn Ewers, QB (Out)

The biggest injury news for the Longhorns this week is redshirt junior quarterback Quinn Ewers. Early in the second quarter last week against UTSA, Ewers needed help getting off the field after suffering an abdominal strain.

Ewers' status is listed as "week-to-week" after suffering the abdominal injury last weekend. Redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning will start this weekend against ULM while Ewers is recovering from the abdominal strain injury.

Earlier this week in his press conference, Sarkisian said Ewers will be listed with the status of "questionable" on next week's injury report for the SEC opener against Mississippi State on Sep. 28.

Jelani McDonald, S (Questionable)

Two Texas safeties missed last week's win over UTSA due to various injury issues, true freshman Xavier Filsaime and sophomore Jelani McDonald. It sounds like Filsaime will be ready to go for the Longhorns' secondary this weekend against ULM.

McDonald is being described with a status similar to Blue in the sense that he is a "game-time decision", according to Sarkisian's press conference earlier this week.

In the first two weeks, McDonald rotated in at safety, taking 30 defensive snaps and 21 snaps on special teams in kick and punt coverage against Colorado State and Michigan.

UL-Monroe injury report vs. Texas
