Texas football had multiple players who showed their blazing speed in the win over the UTSA Roadrunners last weekend. But no one was faster than junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who hit 22 miles per hour on a 50-yard touchdown catch on a screen pass from redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning in the second half in the 56-7 win over UTSA on Sep. 14.

Texas football's Isaiah Bond shows off his blazing speed in long touchdown play vs. UTSA

Bond is the only college football player to reach the 22 MPH mark on a play this season. He is 0.2 MPH faster than Clemson Tigers freshman wide receiver Bryan Wesco, who hit 21.9 MPH on a long touchdown catch and run in Week 2 against the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

Among the plays that Reel Analytics has posted on their social media pages this season with a speed reading, Bond's 50-yard touchdown catch and run against UTSA is the fastest.

Manning also caught a lot of attention on social media when he ran 20.7 MPH on a long 67-yard touchdown run against UTSA last weekend. That was Manning's first career touchdown run for the Longhorns in his collegiate career last weekend in the 49-point win over UTSA.

Bond has been one of Texas's top playmakers in the receiving corps after the season's first three weeks. He leads the team in receptions (13), receiving yards (215), and receiving touchdowns (three).

The UTSA game in Week 3 was Bond's best individual performance through the first three weeks of the regular season for the Longhorns, where he reeled in five receptions for over 100 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.
