The elite five-star Manassas (VA) Highland small forward Nate Ament is the highest-rated uncommitted recruit in the 2025 class in the nation in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking.
He told On3 that Texas is among his top 11 finalist schools after he signed a new NIL partnership deal this week. The other 10 schools he named among his top 11 finalists are the Arkansas Razorbacks, BYU Cougars, Duke Blue Devils, Georgetown Hoyas, Kansas State Wildcats, Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tennessee Volunteers, and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Ament officially visited Texas in late September.
He's also taken official visits to see Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Louisville. Ament unofficially visited Duke and Virginia last fall.
Ament said he's had consistent communication with the Longhorns since the official visit he took to Austin a few months ago.

It sounds like Ament is looking to make a decision by February or March, which is a little over one month before signing day this coming spring.
