This was a huge recruiting weekend on the Forty Acres for head coach Steve Sarkisian and Texas football in the 2025 class. On Senior Day, Texas hosted multiple key blue-chip recruits and flip targets in the 2025 and 2026 classes for the convincing 31-14 win at DKR in Austin over the Kentucky Wildcats yesterday afternoon.

4-Star Joseph Mbatchou gives Texas football a third DL commit in the 2025 class

Just before kickoff of the contest between Texas and Kentucky at DKR on Nov. 23, the Longhorns landed a big-time commitment along the defensive line in the 2025 class from Loganville (GA) Grayson four-star Joseph Mbatchou.

Mbatchou committed to the Longhorns over the Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, and USC Trojans on Saturday afternoon.

The one-time Florida Gators commit was a top out-of-state priority recruit along the defensive line for DL coach Kenny Baker and the Longhorns this fall on the trail for the 2025 class. Texas didn't relent in their communication with Mbatchou, despite him being committed to the Gators earlier this fall after they offered him in mid-August.

Texas has plenty of momentum on the recruiting trail for the 2025 class, with just a couple of weeks remaining before signing day in early December.

Here's a prediction of the next 2025 recruit to commit to the Longhorns after Mbatchou on Nov. 23.

Michael Fasusi, OT (OU commit)

The biggest visiting recruit the Longhorns host this weekend for the Kentucky game at DKR on Senior Day was the elite five-star Lewisville (TX) offensive tackle and Oklahoma Sooners commit Michael Fasusi. For the first time this fall at DKR, Texas hosted Fasusi for a gameday visit that was very successful.

I think if there was any weekend that it was good for the Longhorns to host Fasusi for a gameday visit, it was this one. The crowd was electric at DKR for the win over Kentucky, and Fasusi got to take in the atmosphere in Austin while Oklahoma had its best performance of the season in a surprising 24-3 upset win over the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide in Norman.

There is real smoke behind the discussion of the possibility of Texas or the Texas A&M Aggies flipping Fasusi's commitment from the Sooners before signing day on Dec. 4. Fasusi will be in attendance for the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry game in College Station next weekend on Nov. 30.
