Eric Singleton Jr., WR
Former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets sophomore transfer wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. is expected to be visiting Texas on Monday (Dec. 16).
The speedy former Freshman All-American has been one of the most highly sought-after portal players early in this transfer cycle. His sub 10.3-second 100-meter dash speed is the type of explosiveness and elusiveness that Sarkisian and the Longhorns would not look past in the transfer portal for the offensive side of the ball.
Singleton is currently on campus in Oxford to see head coach Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels on Dec. 13. He's also taken trips this week to other SEC schools, including the Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers.
Texas and the Miami Hurricanes (per On3) are the two schools Singleton is scheduled to visit next week.
The No. 1 transfer in this portal cycle in the 247Sports Composite is looking like the price tag he will command in the winter window will be quite lofty.
Singleton registered over 700 receiving yards in each of his two seasons at Georgia Tech (since 2023). He's tallied double-digit total touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets, and led the team in explosive plays since the start of last season.
This past spring at Georgia Tech, Singleton ran a 21.2-second 200-meter dash time at the ACC Championship track meet.
Texas is expected to lose junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond to the NFL Draft next spring. Fellow junior wideout Matthew Golden also has a looming decision for the NFL Draft this upcoming offseason. Texas is looking to add at least one (maybe two) talented wideouts from the transfer portal in the winter window.
