The Texas Longhorns finished their first season in the SEC with an abysmal 6-12 conference record after losing to their rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, in the final game of the regular season. Now, with the No. 13 seed in the SEC Tournament, the Horns will most likely miss the NCAA Tournament after a highly disappointing season.
Head coach Rodney Terry, who is only in his third season as the team's head coach, is sitting on one of the hottest seats in the country after the Horns finished the regular season with a depressing 17-14 overall record.
Losing to your rival on senior night to miss the tournament, with your generational talent going 0/14 from the field.

The Rodney Terry era comes to a definitive end.
Many Texas fans are calling for Terry's job to be cut short due, in large part, to the lack of success from the Longhorns despite the team having one of the most talented players in the nation: freshman Tre Johnson.
Johnson has broken program records that were set by Longhorn legend Kevin Durant during his single season with Texas, and now, the young star is most likely headed to the NBA, leaving the Horns without a generational talent once again.
Texasβ season is going to end this week, an NIT invite will be declined and a roster that is way too good to miss the NCAA tournament will do exactly that.

It will in all likelihood cost Rodney Terry his job.
Over the three years that Terry has led the Longhorns, Texas' season records have only declined. From a 22-8 finish and an appearance in the Elite Eight to a 21-13 finish with a run to the Round of 32 to a 17-14 record and most likely missing March Madness, Horns fans are unhappy with their head coach.

As the No. 13 seed, Texas will face the 12th-seeded Vanderbilt Commodores in the first round of the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, March 12. Texas and Vanderbilt are scheduled to tip off at 2:30 p.m. CT from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
