Last night was far from the way Rori Harmon wanted her career at Texas to end.
The epitome of Texas Longhorn athletics, Harmon truly gave everything she had to the program, and the Horns just fell short.
As Harmon exited Texas's Final Four game against the UCLA Bruins, it was clear that her collegiate career was about to end, and head coach Vic Schaefer made sure to pull her into his arms and coach her through the moment.
Rori Harmon and Vic Schaefer combined to rebuild Texas WBB
What a moment for a head coach and a star player: losing with your head held high and ensuring that the well-deserved praise was heard loud and clear.
Harmon and Schaefer built the Texas women's basketball program back into the powerhouse that it is today; Schaefer took over as head coach in 2020, and Harmon started her freshman season just one year later.
The moment with just seconds left before Texas's season ended and UCLA advanced to the National Championship game was truly the embodiment of how to act as a head coach and a veteran player.

From holding nearly every program record to breaking into the top-10 of the national record books, Harmon had an undeniably incredible career, despite never punching her ticket ot the National Championship game.
In the loss to UCLA, Harmon earned eight points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals, yet another perfect example of her selflessness in games, even in the Final Four.
While her career as a Texas basketball player has come to an end, there are huge things down the road for Harmon, including the WNBA Draft, which is set to tip off in just over a week on Monday, April 13.
