Over the last four years, walk-on basketball player Sarah Graves captured the hearts of Texas Longhorn fans across the country.

When games turned into blowouts, which happened frequently for the dominant Horns, the crowd made it a tradition to chant "We want Sarah!" and head coach Vic Schaefer simply had to give in, every single time.

Well, that tradition is going to carry on for one more season.

On Tuesday, Jun 2, Graves announced that she was returning for a fifth season with the Longhorns.

"Very excited to spend more time with [Texas McCombs School of Business, Texas WBB], and everyone else," Graves wrote on X. "Hook'em."

Sarah Graves set to return alongside Madison Booker

Graves doesn't have quite the same star power as some of the other Longhorn Legends she has shared a locker room with, like point guard Rori Harmon, who was just selected by the Washington Mystics in the 2026 WNBA Draft, or current phenom Madison Booker.

However, her dedication to the sport and relentless energy, whether on the bench or in the game, have made her an undeniable leader on Schaefer's roster.

"Giving the people what they want," Texas women's basketball shared on X. "[Sarah Graves] is back for one more run... Hook'Em."

Over four years with the Horns, Graves has checked in for 33 games, playing just one game in her true-freshman season, which will be classified as a redshirt year, allowing her to come back for a fifth season at Texas.

She hasn't averaged a ton of playing time, earning 4.1 minutes per game over 21 appearances during the 2025-26 season. Yet, during those minimal minutes, she has made an undeniable impact.

During her fourth year with the Longhorns, she averaged 1.4 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.1 assists, and 0.1 steals, all while playing less than five minutes per game.

As the Horns stormed their way back to the Final Four last season, Graves had some of her most memorable moments yet, draining three-point shots and forcing turnovers throughout her NCAA Tournament appearances.

Graves will be one of the few returning players for Schaefer in the coming season, with Harmon and center Kyla Oldacre both heading to the league, and four players leaving through the transfer portal.

However, with an elite class of incoming freshmen and the leadership of both Graves and Booker, the Longhorns will be just fine as they look to run it back on their SEC Championship and Final Four run.
