Over the last year, Sean Miller has transformed the Texas men's basketball team into a program that is part of the national conversation, especially after a run to the Sweet 16, and the addition of a top-five recruiting class and transfer portal group.

Now, even with the upcoming season just over the horizon, Miller has continued his seemingly unrelenting and unstoppable recruiting efforts.

Most recently, that effort was continued when Miller booked an official visit for five-star forward Ahmed Nur, the No. 24 overall prospect in the class of 2027 and the No. 5 recruit out of Arizona.

Nur, who has received offers from blue-blood teams and Power Conference programs across the country, has scheduled five visits so far this year, most recently scheduling his official visits with the Texas Longhorns and the Syracuse Orange.

College basketball recruiting insider Sam Kayser reported that Nur would visit the Horns on Sept. 4, just a few weeks after making a trip to Syracuse on Aug. 26.

Earlier this summer, Nur visited the Ole Miss Rebels over the weekend of Aug. 22, as well as a trip to see the Purdue Boilermakers. Immediately after his trip to the 40 Acres, Nur is reportedly set to visit the Washington Huskies.

Texas basketball has incredible lineup of official visits heading its way

In even more exciting news, Nur is far from the only blue-chip prospect coming to Texas this fall, with a slew of official visits heading in the Longhorns' direction as Sean Miller continues to work to build his roster depth for years to come.

  • Ahmed Nur, four-star forward, Sept. 4
  • Justin Wise, four-star shooting guard, Sept. 5 (Georgia commit)
  • Beckham Black, five-star point guard, Sept. 9
  • NaVorro Bowman Jr., five-star point guard, Sept. 19
  • Darius Wabbington, five-star center, Nov. 7

Just one day after Nur comes to town, four-star shooting guard Justin Wise will make his trip to Austin, despite having already committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Then, just a few days later, Beckham Black will come to town as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Then, fellow five-star point guard NaVorro Bowman Jr. will come to Texas just 10 days later as one of the top 15 prospects in the nation.

As of now, five-star center Darius Wabbington, the No. 16 recruit in the class, will visit the Longhorns on Nov. 7, rounding off quite the schedule of visits for Miller and his staff.

Simply put, even while the Horns have until November for their season to tip off, Texas men's basketball is doing anything but taking its foot off the gas this fall.
