Sean Miller keeps the wins rolling in, and the season is still more than six months away. The recruiting king brought in yet another four-star transfer from the portal and continued to build on his already top-three class from the spring.
Simeon Wilcher, a former St. John's guard, entered the portal after the Red Storm's run in the NCAA Tournament came to an end. Now, he's headed to Austin to play for Miller and the Texas Longhorns.

As a sophomore for St. Johns, the young guard averaged 8.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, earning 25 starts and just over 25 minutes per appearance. After transferring, Wilcher maintains two seasons of eligibility, making him yet another multi-year transfer for Miller.
Coming out of high school, Wilcher was the No. 6 overall player in the class of 2023 and the No. 4 player in the state of New Jersey, growing up just a few miles from St. John's campus.

Before Wilcher's commitment, Miller already had the No. 3 transfer portal class in the rankings, only trailing Kentucky and Michigan. However, after Wilcher signed with Texas, the Longhorns now have more transfer commitments than the Michigan Wolverines and fewer players leaving the program.
So far, only Devon Pryor and Malik Presley have entered the transfer portal from Texas, Pryor signing with the Oregon Ducks, and Presley is currently undecided.
