Texas has come within sniffing distance of the National Championship multiple times over the last few years.
This season, the Longhorns fell short of the College Football Playoff and a third consecutive run to the semifinals, but their future is looking as bright as ever.
As head coach Steve Sarkisian goes on the transfer portal heater of a lifetime, he has secured just about every player that the Horns will need to ensure success next season. However, one highly coveted transfer prospect was playing a little harder to get, until now.
Jordan Seat set to schedule visit with Texas Longhorns
On Thursday morning, On3's Pete Nakos reported that five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton was expected to schedule a visit with the Horns.
To put it simply, and underplaying how big of a get this could be for Sarkisian, Seaton is exactly what Texas needs to ensure quarterback Arch Manning's success in 2026.
Throughout the 2025 season, Manning was one of the most highly pressured quarterbacks in the country, and he struggled to find his targets or any downfield success when the pressure was applied.
A pass-rush protector like Seaton could entirely change that narrative and flip the focus of Manning's game to just how elite he is when there aren't multiple defenders in his face in the backfield.

Over 13 games, Manning was sacked 23 times for a loss of 138 yards. Seaton, who played for a Colorado Buffaloes squad that struggled on the offensive line and gave up 38 total sacks in 2025, was the highest-graded offensive lineman in the entire country (91.4 pass block grade).
Over two seasons with the Buffs, he allowed just two sacks, starting with a streak of zero (yes, 0) sacks in his first 11 games at Colorado.

Seaton is also being heavily targeted by the Miami Hurricanes, who are about to play in the National Championship game, and the Oregon Ducks, who just lost in the CFP semifinals.
Sarkisian needs to go all in on Seaton, just like he did with Hollywood Smothers and Cam Coleman, to ensure that the Texas offense is ready for a National Championship run.
