Redshirt sophomore Texas football transfer defensive lineman Jaray Bledsoe has committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, per On3's Pete Nakos. Bledsoe will stay in the SEC, taking he next step in his college football journey to Starkville and Mississippi State with first-year head coach Jeff Lebby.

Bledsoe played a dozen games in three seasons for the Longhorns. He registered seven career total tackles, one tackle for loss, seven quarterback pressures, one QB hit, four defensive stops, and one fumble recovery.
In his true freshman campaign in 2022, Bledsoe saw action in one game where he registered one tackle. Bledsoe played a career-high 85 defensive snaps for the Longhorns over eight games in 2023.
He played double-digit defensive snaps in conference games against the Baylor Bears, Kansas Jayhawks, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and BYU Cougars for a Texas team that won the Big 12 Championship and made the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history last postseason.
Bledsoe recovered the first fumble of his collegiate career against Kansas in a win in Week 5 in Big 12 play in 2023.
In the 2024 season, Bledsoe played three games against Colorado State, UTSA, and UL-Monroe. He had two tackles over 11 defensive snaps in a 56-7 win over UTSA in Week 3.
Bledsoe has two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-4 and 290-pound defensive lineman from Marlin (TX) High School committed to the Longhorns over the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, and Texas A&M Aggies in the 2022 class.
Bledsoe ranked as the No. 174 prospect nationally in the 2022 class in the 247Sports Composite, No. 24 defensive lineman, and No. 28 from Texas.
Mississippi State has signed two Texas transfers on the defensive side of the ball in the winter portal window, including Bledsoe and redshirt freshman outside linebacker Derion Gullette.
