Texas men's basketball defeated the Oklahoma Sooners yesterday by a score of 79 to 69, and if you watched the game, it felt like the spread could've been even larger. It was a pretty good battle early on, but after halftime, it was all Texas.

Sean Miller must've given the Longhorns an excellent halftime speech because Texas came out of the break with a head full of steam.

Dailyn Swain, Jordan Pope, and Cam Heide combined for 43 pointsin the matchup, and Heide was extremely impressive from the three-point line. Though he only made three, the shots themselves were beautiful and he's shooting 80% from deep over his past two games.

Oklahoma was ahead at halftime 33 to 30, but then the Longhorns were able to pull away after scoring 49 points in the second half. It wasn't the first time this season that the Longhorns exploded in the second half, and it's developed into somewhat of a hallmark of Sean Miller's teams.

Despite the game being fairly close until the end, Oklahoma fans continue to show their disdain for Porter Moser whenever things go wrong for the Sooners.

Since being hired at Oklahoma in 2021, Porter Moser has never led the team to a winning record (above .500) in conference play and has never won more than 20 games in a regular season.

It's safe to say that Sooner fans were expecting much more from Moser and Co. when they were hired, as he had quite a bit of success at Loyola (Chicago) for a decade leading up to the hire.
