Rumors about Steve Sarkisian's status at the University of Texas erupted today when it was reported that his representatives told NFL teams that he's open to a head coaching job at the pro level.

Once that news started to circulate, Texas Longhorns social media began to explode with emotion and uncertainty. Fans were expressing both anger and sadness, but all of that can officially end now as Sarkisian's agents have officially shut down the rumors.

“Any reports regarding communications on coaching opportunities with NFL teams are patently false and wildly inaccurate. Sark is solely focused on coaching the University of Texas football team.”

It's unknown as to who officially started the rumors, but they've apparently been false since the beginning.

Admittedly, it would've been odd if they were true because Sarkisian would owe Texas quite a bit of money if he actually chose to break his contract. Sarkisian himself has always expressed his love for the University as well, never really hinting at anything that would cause speculation of him wanting to leave.
