The Texas Longhorns are fortunate to not only have one bitter rivalry, but two with Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Everyone knows about the Red River Rivalry and the fact that it spans across all sports, not just on the football field.

The hatred that Oklahoma and Texas have for each other is fierce, but Texas fans also have a hatred for the team not too far from them, Texas A&M. The Longhorns and the Aggies also have a bitter hatred for each other, but according to one Texas legend, it just isn't quite as deep as the Red River Rivalry.

Don't get me wrong, Texas fans definitely hate Texas A&M, and it is certainly returned by Aggies fans, but the Red River Rivalry is looked forward to all year long for every sport. Shipley said when it comes to Texas A&M, while the hatred is there, there isn't as much focus on the Aggies as they have on the Longhorns.

"A&M hates Texas with this passion that is just unexplainable, and Texas just kind of like, 'Yeah, we will show up and play, but we're not thinking about it all year long like y'all are,'" Shipley said on The Stampede Podcast.

Jordan Shipley trolls Texas A&M in the best way possible

Shipley talked about the feeling of the Red River Rivalry and the juice that it brings to the entire stadium when they meet on the football field. It is truly like no other rivalry in sports. On the flip side, Shipley kind of threw some shade towards Texas A&M, stating Texas just doesn't really think about the Aggies all year long.

When it comes to the games between the Longhorns and the Aggies, Texas will show up and typically show out, but it isn't something that is thought about too much, unlike Aggies fans with Texas. When it comes to Oklahoma, though, any Texas fans will eat up any sort of Sooners hate they can find.

Shipley isn't too far off when talking about these two rivalries because the Red River Rivalry really doesn out do any other game that Texas and Oklahoma play. Texas A&M has its moments of actually being a competition with the Longhorns, but it is few and far between.

No matter how good or bad Texas and Oklahoma are, they always put on a great show, whether on the field, court, or diamond. These teams know how to give fans a great rivalry. The Red River Rivalry is one that every sports fan can appreciate, and it certainly is a game that Texas fans think about all year long.
