July has been an incredibly eventful month for the Texas football program, as the Longhorns got two huge commitments from the top defensive recruits in the 2026 class. The craziest part about it was that it happened while at SEC media days last week, in which the team was focused on impressing off the field.

AI revealed the top all-time player from every current SEC school

The crew at Hook 'Em Headlines asked AI who the top or best player from every SEC school was, and the results are incredibly fascinating.

Though you might be able to guess who the top Longhorns player was, some of the answers were interesting due to the fact that there are so many elite players from each school.

Mack Brown is teaming up with Vince Young for new Texas podcast

Brown recently announced that he's teaming up with another legendary Longhorn, Vince Young, on a new podcast called "The Stampede" that's set to released next week.

The duo will be talking about any and everything Texas football, from Arch Manning's career projections to the 2025 team's outlook. Make sure to follow the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts!

The Preseason 2025 SEC Media Poll and All-Conference teams unveiled

The media's official 2025 season predictions have officially been released, including the exact order of finish for each team this season.

They also voted on and released the Preseason All-SEC teams as well, including 13 Longhorns that were represented on each of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams.

BONUS: Texas flips the top DT recruit in the 2025 class from Georgia

James Johnson, the top interior defensive line recruit according to some recruiting sites officially flipped to Texas during media days.

He committed shortly after 5-star LB Tyler Atkinson committed to the Longhorns on the Pat McAfee Show.
