A fourth Longhorn has hit the spring transfer portal, following suit behind his former teammates Bert Auburn, Reid Watkins, and Freddie Dubose. Similarly to Auburn's departure, this one stings a little more than the others.

Third-year offensive lineman Malik Agbo announced he had entered his name into the portal after appearing in 32 games for the Texas Longhorns. Agbo, who was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, committed to the Horns in December of 2021 over rival programs like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners.

During the 2024 season, Agbo appeared in all 16 of Texas's games, including all three games of the College Football Playoffs.

During the 2023-24 season, Agbo played in all 14 games on the offensive line as a blocking tight end in the jumbo package. He helped open holes for running backs Jonathon Brooks, CJ Baxter, and Jaydon Blue. He also had a six-yard reception in the Sugar Bowl against Washington, which was the first reception of his career.

In his freshman year, Agbo appeared in just two games: the wins over the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas Jayhawks.

Coming out of high school, Agbo received 25 Division I offers as the No. 23 offensive tackle and the No. 5 athlete out of Washington in the class. During his recruitment process, he visited the Horns, the Sooners, the Auburn Tigers, and the Miami Hurricanes.

There has been no speculation as to where he could end up, but a return to his home is never out of the question.
