The Texas Longhorns defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in week 13 by a score of 52 to 37, and it looks like oddsmakers are more confident in the fighting Steve Sarkisian's than most thought.
Arch Manning and Texas' passing game looked better than ever on Saturday, despite coming off a heartbreaking loss to Georgia Bulldogs, in a spot where some teams might've just given up.
According to Fanduel.com, the Texas A&M Aggies are only 3.5-point favorites heading into week 14. Before the Longhorns' win against Arkansas yesterday, there were some who projected the Aggies to be anywhere between 7-10 point favorites.
The original lookahead line that was set in the summer, was Texas -10.5, so it goes to show how the perception of the Longhorns changed after their rough start to the 2025 season. Regardless of that truth, the fact that they're only a slight underdog right now is pretty crazy based on how well Texas A&M has been playing this year.
Arch Manning has seemingly redeemed himself and has been looking very good over the past few games, capping it off with a 398 total-yard, 6 touchdown performance against the Razorbacks. He also made history yesterday as the first quarterback in Texas history to record a passing, rushing, and receiving touchdown in the same game.
Since October 1st, Manning has performed like one of the top quarterbacks in the league:
- 5-1 record with top 10 wins over Oklahoma and Vanderbilt
- 1,612 passing yards
- 12 touchdowns, 2 interception (6:1)
- 64.1% complete rate
- 3 rushing/receiving touchdowns
It'll be interesting to see where this line closes at, and if it moves at all throughout the week.
