After the first week of summer practices wraps up, the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian won't take their foot off the gas pedal.

It's time for official visits to start on the 40 Acres, and that includes a lengthy list of blue-chip prospects coming to town this weekend, including nine defensive stars and two elite offensive players who could make additions to the Horns' roster.

Four of the prospects are already committed to Texas: four-star tight end Brock Williams, four-star edge rusher Cameron Hall, four-star running back Noah Roberts, and four-star defensive lineman Derwin Fields.

Sarkisian and his staff have an opportunity to convince seven other blue-chip prospects that Texas is the program for them, including a five-star prospect and one recruit who is already committed to another program.

  • John Meredith, five-star cornerback
  • Kasi Currie, four-star defensive lineman
  • Toa Satele, four-star linebacker
  • Brock Williams, four-star tight end (committed to Texas)
  • Cameron Hall, four-star EDGE (committed to Texas)
  • JaBarrius Garror, four-star EDGE
  • Jhadyn Nelson, four-star linebacker (committed to Texas Tech)
  • Noah Roberts, four-star running back (committed to Texas)
  • Derwin Fields, four-star defensive lineman (committed to Texas)
  • Junior Tu’upo, four-star safety
  • Trenton Blaylock, three-star cornerback

John Meredith, a five-star cornerback from Fort Worth, is the highest-rated prospect coming to town and the lone five-star in the group, but he is one of three defensive backs visiting Texas, joined by four-star safety Junior Tu'upo and three-star cornerback Trenton Blaylock.

Four-star linebacker Jhadyn Nelson, a Texas native, committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders, making him a possible recruit to place on flip watch if this weekend goes well for the Longhorns.

Kasi Currie, Toa Satele, and JaBarrius Garror are the three other prospects who have yet to commit and will be in Austin over the weekend. Currie is a four-star defensive line prospect, Satele is a four-star linebacker, and Garror is a four-star edge rusher. All three would line up alongside each other if they all committed to the Horns.

The weekend, which spans from Friday, June 5, to Sunday, June 7, will be one of three consecutive weekends of official visits for the Longhorns, filling Sarkisian's time spent away from practice with time spent on the metaphorical recruiting trail.

Over the following two weekends, even more top prospects had trips to Austin booked, giving the Horns yet another opportunity or two to land elite recruits for their future rosters.
