Texas softball is right around the corner, and this year's team is absolutely stacked with talent at every position. The girls have been practicing for a while now, and members of the media have been flocking to different members of the team both before and after training periods.
In the most recent post-practice media session, Teagan Kavan and Reese Atwood spoke about the Longhorns' current pitching situation, and it naturally led to a strong endorsement for young pitcher Hannah Wells.
"You have Teagan and Hannah who are going to be our hard throwing pitchers, then you have [Citlaly] and Brenlee who come in with some like really really dirty off-speeds"

When asked about Wells' performance so far in Austin, Atwood said:
"She's another great addition to our pitching staff. As a freshman coming in, she's been able to go out there and compete. You'll watch her on the mound this weekend, and you know that she has no fear in her head."
All-American pitcher Teagan Kavan chimed in shortly after:
"I think she does all the right things both on and off the field, so it's been really fun to get to know her.
"I'm excited to see her put her name out there for herself because I think it's going to be one to remember."
The fact that two of the absolute best softball players in the game have these types of things to say about such a young player is incredible. It's also great that Kavan and Wells are in the same pitching room because they're incredibly similar in terms of pitching style. They're not going to "wow" you with an enormous repertoire of pitches, but they'll be out there throwing absolute heaters throughout the entire game.
Hannah Wells was an incredibly decorated player coming out of in-state Coahoma HS in Coahoma, TX. She was a multi-time All-American, Texas High School Softball Player of the Year, and TGCA 1A-4A Softball Athlete of the Year.
