The Texas Longhorns are officially SEC Champions. The women's basketball team secured a dominant win over the Florida Gators to win its first-ever title in the Horns' new conference.

An 18-point performance by Kyla Oldacre and a 14-point game by Madison Booker helped the Longhorns defeat the Gators by a resounding 36 points. Rori Harmon's shooting struggles continued as the star point guard contributed just 2 points to Texas' total.

Head coach Vic Schaefer's usually dominant defense was on full display as Texas held Florida to a minimal 42 points. The Gators shot just 33.3 percent from the field and an abysmal 5.6 percent from beyond the arc, with nearly a quarter of their points coming from the free throw line.

Texas will take on the SEC Tournament as the No. 2 seed and will receive byes in the first two rounds. The Horns' first postseason game is scheduled to tip off at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7.

A record 14 former Texas football players competed at the 2025 NFL Combine and many came out of it looking even more impressive than expected.

Despite suffering an ankle injury, star tight end Gunnar Helm battled through the pain and had an impressive performance. Quarterback Quinn Ewers looked sharp as he participated in throwing drills, and wideout Matthew Golden had a stellar performance, some even saying that he could surpass Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan as the No. 1 WR in the Draft class.

Texas will hold its Pro Day on Wednesday, March 26, and the 2025 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26.
