For the first time in a long time, the upcoming volleyball season will be a revenge tour for the Texas Longhorns. Last season, the back-to-back National Champions were knocked out of the NCAA Tournament shockingly early. Now, the Horns are ready for their second year in the SEC.
More than four months ahead of their first game, the Longhorns announced their conference schedule with 15 games against SEC opponents and seven home games.

On Oct. 31, the Horns will face their in-state rivals, the Texas A&M Aggies, in the annual Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown. Less than two weeks earlier, Texas will play its other rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, at Gregory Gym in Austin.
What happened to Texas volleyball last season?
In 2024, Texas played the Sooners twice and split the rivalry series. The Horns also played Texas A&M twice last season and split that series as well.
Last year, the Longhorns finished with a 30-7 overall record, one of the worst finishes by the program in a long time. Texas lost to the Creighton Bluejays (1-3) in the regional round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
The Horns finished the 2024 season ranked No. 11 in the nation after failing to secure the three-peat for the national title. The Penn State Nittany Lions went on to win the National Championship
