Texas vs. Arkansas: How to watch, odds, weather, injuries, series history
For the first time since 2021, Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian travel to Fayetteville to battle the Arkansas Razorbacks in a historic rivalry game at Razorback Stadium. Arkansas and head coach Sam Pittman ran over Texas in Sarkisian's first year as the program's head coach by a score of 40-21 a few years ago.
In 2021, Sarkisian and the Longhorns finished with a 5-7 record.
Fast forward to this fall, and the Longhorns have a clear path to the SEC Championship Game and the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff field. Texas has defeated multiple ranked opponents this season, and are coming off maybe the most impressive complete-team victory in the SEC in 2024 last week in a 32-point dismantling of the Florida Gators at home on Nov. 9.
There are multiple Longhorns players on the current roster who were on that same Texas team under Sarkisian in his first year in 2021. Senior leaders like center Jake Majors, cornerback Jahdae Barron, and defensive tackle Alfred Collins all remember that game against Arkansas a few seasons ago and what playing in that raucous environment in the SEC was like for the Longhorns.
This weekend is the perfect opportunity for Sarkisian and the Longhorns to prove that they have turned a corner and are ready to take care of business in a tough road environment in the SEC against Arkansas this Saturday.
Here's a look at the game information, betting odds, injuries, and more for the Week 12 matchup between No. 3 Texas and Arkansas at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, AR, on Nov. 16.
