It's almost game day on the 40 Acres again, and this time around, the No. 11 Texas Longhorns are set to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs, a team that has quickly crumbled over the last few weeks.

Unsurprisingly, as the home team and a top-15 squad (once again), the Horns are heavily favored over the beaten and battered Bulldogs.

However, there's a lot more you need to know before kickoff than which team is expected to win. So here is your all-in-one guide for Texas versus Mississippi State.

How to watch No. 11 Texas Longhorns vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Horns and quarterback Arch Manning got back to their winning ways at home last week, defeating the Ole Miss Rebels. Now, it's time to restart the winning streak at DKR.

  • Date & Time: Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6:30 p.m. CT
  • Location: Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin, TX
  • TV/Streaming: ESPN, fuboTV
  • Radio (Austin): AM 1300 The Zone

While last weekend may have featured perfect fall football weather, the forecast for this Saturday isn't quite as ideal...

Weather forecast for Texas vs. MSU on Saturday, Oct. 31

While the projected temperature at halftime is a perfect 75º, a rainy week in Austin could bring overcast skies and damp conditions to DKR on Saturday.

  • Low: 67º
  • High: 81º
  • 80% chance of rain

The wind will be nearly negligible around game time, set at just 4 MPH currently, and humidity will be around 70% for the game.

Texas Longhorns injury report vs. Mississippi State

  • OUT: Trevor Goosby (OL), Richard Wesley (EDGE)
  • QUESTIONABLE: Colin Simmons (EDGE)
  • PROBABLE: Hollywood Smothers (RB), Cam Coleman (WR), Kaliq Lockett (WR)

The Horns saw a few starters go down last week: left tackle Trevor Goosby and wide receiver Cam Coleman. While the wideout is expected to return, the same can't be said for the star offensive lineman.

Mississippi State Bulldogs injury report vs. Texas

  • OUT: Kamario Taylor (QB), Jalen Smith (LB), Ayden Williams (WR), Trevion Williams (DL), Diesel Moye (DL)
  • QUESTIONABLE: Isaac Smith (S), DJ Chester (OL)

The biggest story out of Starkville this season has been quarterback Kamario Taylor, nicknamed "Super Kamario" for his innate abilities on the field. However, he will miss the rest of the season with a severe toe injury.

Updated odds for Texas Longhorns vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs

While the initial spread and point total for the game have remained the same, the moneyline has actually shifted even more heavily in the Horns' favor.

  • Spread: -20.5 Texas
  • Moneyline: -1450 Texas, +890 Mississippi State
  • Over/Under: +/-50.5 points

One would have to wager $1,450 on a Texas win to walk away with a $100 profit (if the Longhorns won). Conversely, one would only have to wager $100 on Mississippi State winning to walk away with $890 to their name (if Mississippi State won).

Announcers and commentators for No. 11 Texas vs. Mississippi State

  • Play-by-play: Joe Tessitore

  • Sideline reporter: Kris Budden

Joe Tessitore and Jessee Palmer will combine forces in the booth once again as the ESPN crew comes to town, and they will have their go-to sideline reporter, Kris Budden, carrying out on-field duties.

Unfortunately, Manning didn't get his request granted for Holly Rowe to be at every Texas game since the Horns are 3-0 with her in attendance.

Texas football series history vs. Mississippi State

Of course, the last time these two teams met, the Dawgs pushed the Horns into overtime, but Texas was still able to walk away victorious. That meeting was only the second one between Texas and Mississippi State since the turn of the century.

  • Overall record: 4-2 Texas
  • First-ever meeting: Nov. 11, 1921 -- 54-7, Texas
  • Most recent meeting: Oct. 25, 2025 -- 45-38 (OT), Texas

Since the first meeting over a century ago, the Longhorns have won 67% of their matchups against the Bulldogs. The only times Mississippi State was able to walk away victorious were in 1991 and 1992, sweeping the home-and-home series.
