The final update to the SEC-mandated injury reports for No. 1 Texas football and the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners was released on Friday evening, Oct. 11.

Texas and Oklahoma will meet for the 120th time in the Red River Rivalry game at the Cotton Bowl at the Texas State Fairgrounds in Dallas on Oct. 12. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns enter Red River this weekend with a healthier squad than head coach Brent Venables and the Sooners bring into the Cotton Bowl.

The most significant update for the Longhorns, entering Red River, is the return of redshirt junior starting quarterback Quinn Ewers. Arch Manning started Texas's last two games at quarterback, while Ewers was dealing with an abdominal strain injury.

Ewers was listed with a status of "probably" on the injury report for the first update this week. But he was removed completely from the injury report in the Thursday update on Oct. 10 for the Longhorns.

This is the second time in Ewers' career that he will be returning from an injury to make his first start back against the Sooners in Red River.

Here's a look at the full injury report for the Red River Rivalry game in Week 7 between No. 1 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX, at the Texas State Fair on Oct. 12, at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Michael Kern, P (Probable)

Freshman punter Michael Kern has been upgraded from "questionable" to "probable" on Friday's injury report update. It's good news for the Longhorns after Kern looked to be dealing with a stinger in Texas's SEC opener win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs a couple of weeks ago.

Kern won the starting punter job for the Longhorns this fall. He has averaged 42.8 yards per punt on 11 attempts this season over five games.

Colin Page, RB (Probable)

Derek Williams Jr., S (Probable)

After missing the last two full games due to a lingering hamstring injury, sophomore safety Derek Williams Jr. looks set to make his return to the secondary for the Longhorns this weekend against Oklahoma.

Williams has started one game for the Longhorns this season, against the No. 10 Michigan Wolverines in Texas's big 31-12 win over the defending champs in Ann Arbor in Week 2. Williams registered his first career interception in that Week 2 win over Michigan.
