No. 5 Texas football (6-1, 2-1 SEC) and head coach Steve Sarkisian are looking for a big bounce-back win in Week 9 after they suffered a humbling 30-15 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs at home last weekend. Texas faces the No. 25 Vanderbilt Commodores (5-2, 2-1 SEC) on the road in Week 9, as they look to come back strong after what has sounded like a great and competitive week of practice for Sarkisian's squad.

This game won't come easy for Sarkisian and the Longhorns, though, as standout dual-threat quarterback Diego Pavia and Vandy are on a roll this season. Vanderbilt is 4-0 at home for the first time since 1982.

The Commodores have won three games in a row, including an upset victory at home on Oct. 5 over the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide. That win over Alabama in early October was the first home win over an AP Top 5 team in program history for Vanderbilt.

Texas needs a much better effort from quarterback Quinn Ewers in this game if the offense wants any shot of returning to the explosiveness we saw from them in the first month of the regular season. Ewers was inconsistent again for the Longhorns' offense in the 15-point loss to Georgia last weekend.

Here's a look at the game information, betting odds, injuries, and more for the Week 9 matchup between No. 5 Texas and No. 25 Vanderbilt at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, TN, on Oct. 26.
