The brackets are set, and the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will commence later this week, with the First Four Round starting on Wednesday night.

All eyes were on Texas as they waited to hear if they would host the first and second rounds for a second straight season. It was announced that Texas Women's Basketball would headline the Birmingham Region 3 section of the bracket as the number one seed. The ladies deserve it, with all the hard work they put into being a dominant threat this season.

Vic Schaefer jumped on SEC Now a bit after the selection show ended, and you could tell he was proud of how hard the ladies worked to secure a number one seed for a second year in a row. They celebrated last night, and now it's time to hit the gym and start getting ready for an intense schedule where one turnover could end their season. As I mentioned yesterday morning, all it takes is looking ahead once; your season can end instantly.

The Longhorns do have some impressive teams that will travel to Austin soon. High Point, William & Mary, Illinois, and Creighton are all traveling to Austin. The Longhorns will play the winner of the High Point vs. William & Mary game. While it seems like an easy first game at the Moody Center this weekend, Texas can't get caught looking at who they would play between Illinois and Creighton. Just take it one game at a time, and before you know it, Texas will be back at the Elite 8.

I'm excited to see how far the Longhorns can go in this year's tournament. Some tough teams could end up playing Texas on their way to the Elite 8. It's not like this is new for the Longhorns after playing a rigorous SEC Conference schedule this season. They won three in a row against South Carolina, Kentucky, and LSU, which means they are ready to take on this tournament and attempt to win the Women's Basketball National Championship.

It's time to fill the Moody Center and cheer on the Longhorns before they take off to Birmingham. This is a great time to familiarize yourself with Texas Women's Basketball.

The Longhorns will have a great squad next season regardless of whether they recruit Aaliyah Chavez or not. This weekend just improved for Austin if it didn't have enough exciting activities. It's time to finish that "unfinished business" on which the Longhorns set their sights this year.
