This chart proves Sean Miller's message about Horns' foul problem is painfully true

Just a few weeks ago, Texas men's basketball head coach Sean Miller went off about the Longhorns' issue with fouling their opponents. This proves it's true.

After the Longhorns blew their game against the Kentucky Wildcats, Texas head coach Sean Miller sounded off about his team's issue with over-fouling its opponents.

"We have a virus called fouling... We will foul the living s--- out of you," Miller said in the postgame press conference. "You describe the foul, and the team I’m coaching will commit it."

In the matchup, Texas fouled the Wildcats 23 times, leading to 35 free-throw attempts and 30 points from the charity stripe for Kentucky. That trend hasn't exactly changed as the Horns have continued through their SEC schedule, despite Texas pulling off a few unexpected wins.

The Longhorns dominate fouls in the SEC

In a recent post on social media, a graph showed which teams in the SEC fouled their opponents the most and which teams were fouled the most by their conference opponents.

In the far right corner (where the highest foul rate met the highest fouled rate) were none other than the Longhorns.

To put the graph into layman's terms, the Longhorns foul other teams more than nearly anyone else in the SEC, but on the flip side, the Horns are also fouled by other teams more than nearly anyone else in the conference.

Through Texas's first 23 games of the season, the Horns have attempted 621 free throws, making 461 of their attempts. The Longhorns' opponents have attempted 551 free throws and made 397 of those attempts.

Compared to Auburn, which is the other team on the farthest right for free-throw attempt rate, the Tigers have attempted 624 free throws. Compared to Ole Miss, which is the other team that is the farthest south for opponent free-throw attempt rate, the Rebels have given up 518 free throws.

Quite literally, nobody in the SEC has given up as many free throw attempts as the Longhorns. The only team that has shot more free throws (Auburn) has Texas beat by just three shots from the charity stripe.

Next, the Horns will face the Rebels once again, in what could apparently be a foul-filled matchup on both ends of the court.

Texas (14-9 overall, 5-5 SEC) and Ole Miss (11-11 overall, 3-6 SEC) are scheduled to tip off at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 7, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
