Seven Texas players were invited to this past weekend's NFL Combine, and though most of them looked great, a few specific players stood above the rest.

These former Longhorns most likely either solidified their draft stock or raised it with their overall performances:

DE Trey Moore

Moore entered the weekend with hopes of solidifying his stock as a potential late-round pass-rushing candidate in this year's NFL Draft. By the time the combine was over, he seemingly propelled himself into the mid-round conversation due to his insane level of athleticism at 243 lbs.

His 4.54s 40-yard dash time and vertical jump of 38.5" blew NFL scouts away, and he was able to top it off with a great performance in on-field drills. Yes, he's still labeled as a "tweener", but now he's given teams a sample of what he's working with from an athleticism and explosion standpoint. He has the skillset to play SAM at the NFL level, but could be deadly as a designated/sub-package pass rusher.

LB Anthony Hill Jr.

To be 100% honest, there's not that much to talk about here. He tested incredibly well, measured in where scouts thought he would, and showed off his incredible movement skills on the field this weekend.

Though he's still most likely thought of as a day two prospect, Daniel Jeremiah at least mentioned his name as being a potential 1st-rounder now.

S Michael Taaffe

Taaffe ran a good 40-yard dash time at 4.5s flat, and he moved incredibly well in drills. He also showed off his above-average hands and short-area quickness on Friday.

He's been steadily rising up NFL Draft boards since scouts and analysts have begun torecognize his mental acuity and processing skills before the snap. Taaffe, by no means, blew anyone away this weekend with his testing numbers, but he definitely locked himself in as an early day three-type of player now.
