While Tennessee was eliminated from the SEC Championship Game in the past week, it still worked well for the Vols to get an easy win at home over UTEP while chaos ate the rest of the conference. If the Vols defeat in-state rival Vanderbilt in Nashville this week, that all but guarantees Tennessee's spot as an at-large bid in the College Football Playoff.

9-2 (6-2 SEC). . . . . Week 13 Result: 59-21 win vs. UMass. 2. 527. Georgia.

Georgia glided to a win over the UMass Minutemen at home at Sanford Stadium last weekend. The defense wasn't great out of the gates for the Dawgs and head coach Kirby Smart this past Saturday. But the offense was seamless putting up nearly a 60 spot on UMass.

If Georgia can avoid the upset trap against Georgia Tech in rivalry week this upcoming weekend, it should pretty much lock up a spot in the Playoff.

Georgia also clinched a spot in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta in a couple of weeks with Alabama and Ole Miss falling to other conference foes over the weekend.

Texas keeps winning in SEC play, which is why the Longhorns remain in the top spot in this week's conference power rankings. The Longhorns got the double-digit victory over Kentucky last weekend but got a few bumps and bruises along the way.

"Our schedule is a little bit different. We’re normally a morning practice team, but with this being Thanksgiving week and no school, we’re not practicing until this afternoon. I’ll have a better understanding when I get to see him really on the field, but he’s planning on practicing today. We’ll see how that goes."

Steve Sarkisian on Quinn Ewers

Quarterback Quinn Ewers suffered an ankle injury in the first half against Kentucky on a QB keeper play. Head coach Steve Sarkisian said in his Monday press conference on Nov. 25 that Ewers was "planning on" practicing today.
