The storied 123-year rivalry between top-ranked Texas football (5-0, 1-0 SEC) and the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners (4-1, 1-1 SEC) resumes this Saturday at the neutral Cotton Bowl in Dallas. These two college football powerhouses have shared this historic venue since 1932 and will meet for the 120th time.

While Texas holds a 63-51-5 (.550) advantage in the all-time series, the Sooners enter with a one-game win streak after defeating the Longhorns 34-30 last year. Fans can tune in to the highly anticipated matchup on radio and television.

How to watch and listen to the Texas football vs. OU game

The game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. It will be televised on ABC and streamed live on ESPN+.

Radio listeners in the Austin area can tune in to KVET-FM 98.1 to hear the Longhorn Radio Network's live broadcast. The broadcast features play-by-play commentary from Craig Way, analysis from Roger Wallace, and sideline reporting from Will Matthews.

Announcers for the Texas vs OU game

The commentating crew for this week's rivalry game features an impressive lineup. Leading the play-by-play will be 2024 Sports Emmy nominee Chris Fowler, who has been with ESPN since 1986. Joining him in the booth is five-time Sports Emmy winner Kirk Herbstreit, Fowler's colleague of over two decades since their early College Game Day days.

Herbstreit brings extensive experience covering college football and has been the color commentator for Thursday Night Football since 2022, working alongside the legendary Al Michaels. Sideline reporter Holly Rowe, who has provided insightful pre-game, in-game, and post-game coverage for nearly three decades, will also be on the team.

Expect to see a special appearance from Kirk's beloved Golden Retriever, Ben, the fan favorite. This experienced and energetic crew will bring their expertise to Saturday's highly anticipated rivalry matchup between Texas and OU.
