Texas Football: True Buzz Recruiting Tournament tidbits, takeaways
Important Texas targets
Quay Davis was one of the bigger targets for the Texas football program on hand at the True Buzz Recruiting Tournament on April 13 and 14. His squad, Team Grind, wound up taking home the championship for the entirety of the tournament by knocking off the Mississippi team, Devoted Dreamers.
However, it was more than just Davis standing out in both pool and bracket play. Four-star Texas football target running back Ty Jordan was one of the brighter spots for the True Buzz team. He continues to show in off-season combines and recruiting tournaments that he is a capable wide receiver. Texas needs to keep on his recruitment in the coming months.
A quarterback that was worth watching here for All-EN is the 2021 in-state rising target, four-star dual-threat quarterback Dematrius Davis. He didn’t get much of a shot to show what he can do under pressure, but he did have some nice throws particularly to the sidelines.
The North Shore High School group didn’t have its best showing all-around, but it’s always intriguing to see what Davis and company bring to the table for All-EN. You’d have to argue that All-EN, Fast Houston, and KB3 Elite Adidas were the three most talented teams present in Oak Cliff this weekend.
