3. Tom Herman

The Herman family is making a lot of moves to help out in and around the Austin community in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak. Texas head coach Tom Herman and his wife Michelle are among the most known active in the college football landscape in trying to help out with these relief efforts.

Herman is doing a good job keeping his entire team involved too. He is apparently getting some players involved to get donations from money, to food, and even with books.

Of late, Herman was more active on a Twitter page than really ever before. He is going all over the place to meet with foundations, locals in the community, and trying to get donations on his own. There was also apparently at least one day of helping out with “Meals on Wheels” for Tom and his family.

The first news that really came about for Herman in his helping with the COVID-19 relief was when he and his family made a sizable donation to the Central Texas Food Bank. That food bank has apparently now fed more than 1,500 families in the community, and that has to be partly thanks to Herman’s donation.

Herman is leading the way with his COVID-19 relief efforts, and it’s some much needed good news in a time where there isn’t much. Hopefully this continues to help in the community and inspire others to get involved with the support that he’s showing.
