A good early target for the 2022 Texas recruiting class to key in on at this point in time is four-star Klein Cain running back Jaydon Blue. This 5-foot-9 and 192 pound Houston, TX, native is pretty close to a must-get in-state running back product for Herman and the Longhorns. Blue is one of the most agile and versatile rushers in this recruiting cycle.

Blue ranks as the nation’s No. 80 2022 high school prospect, No. 7 running back, and No. 11 prospect out of Texas. He’s up to offers from 20 different schools including the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Auburn Tigers, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon Ducks, TCU, and Texas A&M.

Moreover, Blue had quite the stretch of scholarship offers last week. He got offers from Georgia, Ohio State, and LSU just on May 12 and 13 alone. He also got his Auburn offer about a week before that point, on May 6.

The incoming offers are deserving for Blue, who registered 1,612 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, and 108 receiving yards, during his sophomore season at Klein Cain. With an expanded role next season, Blue’s numbers should really start to jump off the page at you.

There’s three expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions in for the projected commitment of Blue, all going the Longhorns way.
