2) Predicting next commit in the 2022 Texas football recruiting class: Chace Biddle, S

One of the stronger position groups in the last few signing classes for Herman and the Longhorns was at defensive back, more specifically safety. And if Texas is able to land a commitment from four-star LBJ safety Andrew Mukuba over the weekend, then that trend surely will continue heading out of the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Where Texas can turn to next for help at the safety position in the 2022 recruiting class is with four-star 6-foot and 190 pound Garland defensive back Chace Biddle. This is about as good as it gets at the safety position for the Longhorns in-state for the 2022 cycle. They could land the No. 3 ranked 2022 prospect in the nation, and five-star cornerback Domani Jackson, but that is about it beyond Biddle at the moment.

As of the evening of Sep. 19, Biddle holds offers from 16 schools. The highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, LSU, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, SMU, and USC. He’s likely going to see more offers come his way in the near future too.

Biddle ranks as the nation’s No. 83 2022 high school prospect, No. 6 safety, and No. 13 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions are also favoring Texas early to land his commitment over the rest of the field. That is a great early sign for Herman and defensive coordinator/safeties coach Chris Ash.
