3) Must gets for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class: Bryce Foster

There’s two top tier offensive line targets that would either be huge gets for the Longhorns 2021 recruiting class. The first is the skilled four-star Katy offensive guard Bryce Foster, and the other is four-star Duncanville offensive tackle Savion Byrd. The former of those two blue chip offensive line prospects is also set to announce his commitment decision on Dec. 18, in the midst of the Early Signing Period.

This sizable 6-foot-5 and 315 pound offensive guard is hailing out of the Longhorns backyard in Katy, TX. He ranks as the nation’s No. 66 2021 high school prospect, No. 4 offensive guard, and No. 10 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 108 high school prospect, No. 6 offensive guard, and No. 19 prospect out of Texas.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions does have the commitment of Foster trending to either one of the two biggest Longhorns rivals, Oklahoma and the Texas A&M Aggies. But the top three schools that Foster’s commitment decision could come down to are Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M. Foster also holds offers from more than 20 schools in total.

The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes the LSU Tigers, Oregon Ducks, Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Stanford Cardinal, TCU Horned Frogs, and Wisconsin Badgers.

Landing the commitment from a highly touted offensive linemen such as Byrd or Foster could help make up for other losses like five-star offensive tackle Tommy Brockermeyer (and his brother James) and five-star offensive guard Donovan Jackson.
