Predicting next 2022 commit No. 3: Bryce Anderson

A longtime priority now for Sark and the Longhorns 2022 class, especially with more momentum rolling now on the defensive side of the ball, is the uber-talented four-star 6-foot and 190 pound West Brook safety Bryce Anderson. This potent product hailing out of Beaumont, TX, could really help to round out the secondary for the Longhorns offseason in the 2022 class.

Texas already holds solid commitments in the secondary in their 2022 class from the likes of four-star Memorial cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau and four-star Aledo safety Bryan Allen Jr. Anderson could just be the final piece to that puzzle for Sark and new defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski.

Pursuing Anderson at this point in time for the Longhorns are new safeties coach Blake Gideon and defensive backs coach (formerly with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish) Terry Joseph. Texas had to pivot on the recruiting trail in pursuit of Anderson after former defensive coordinator Chris Ash was let go.

Texas is one of 40 schools to have offered Anderson thus far. And they are looking pretty good in pursuit of his commitment at the moment. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have all but one of a dozen experts picking his pledge to go to the Longhorns.

Some other notable schools that have offered Anderson thus far includes the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, USC Trojans, Michigan Wolverines, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Oklahoma, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, Stanford Cardinal, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Moreover, Anderson ranks as the nation’s No. 61 2022 high school prospect, No. 4 safety, and No. 11 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 57 high school prospect, No. 5 safety, and No. 12 prospect out of Texas.
