A former commit of the Longhorns 2022 class that Sark and second-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman are still pushing really hard for is the elite four-star Frisco-Liberty 6-foot and 175 pound wide receiver Evan Stewart. Texas originally landed the commitment of this Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex product Stewart back on Feb. 18, 2021.

But it was less than one month ago that the Longhorns lost the pledge of Stewart, which specifically came on March 11. Stewart has received one scholarship offer since decommitting from Texas, and he has two other official visits lined up at the moment for the summer outside of his to Austin.

Stewart is due to visit Texas on June 11. His two other official visits this summer are with Texas A&M on June 24, and the Florida Gators on June 4. Texas A&M and Florida look to remain as key competitors on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns to get Stewart back in their 2022 class.

Some other schools to watch that could continue pushing for Stewart are Alabama and the Georgia Bulldogs. Those two very much remain alive to nab Stewart when it’s all said and done.

Moreover, Stewart ranks as the nation’s No. 40 2022 high school prospect, No. 5 wide receiver, and No. 8 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 37 high school prospect, No. 5 wide receiver, and No. 11 prospect out of Texas.
