One position group that could be truly elite in the Longhorns 2022 class is the receiving corps. Texas had a lot of turnover at the wide receiver position, though, in their 2022 class. This group has seen blue chip wide receiver prospects like four-star Lancaster product Phaizon Wilson and four-star Frisco-Liberty product Evan Stewart come and go.

And while Wilson is likely gone for good for the Longhorns, Stewart could be a wide receiver target that the Longhorns get back in their 2022 class.

Another key wide receiver target to watch that Sark and second-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman appear to be making a good amount of headway with is five-star St. Mary’s product Kevin Coleman. The 5-foot-11 and 170 pound St. Louis, MO, native Coleman is currently getting attention from programs all over the country.

Texas is one of 34 schools that have offered Coleman up to the night of April 13. Some of the other notable schools on his offer sheet are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arizona State Sun Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, USC Trojans, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tennessee Volunteers, and Texas A&M Aggies.

Moreover, Coleman ranks as the nation’s No. 17 2022 high school prospect, No. 2 wide receiver, and the top overall prospect out of Missouri (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 16 high school prospect, No. 2 wide receiver, and top overall prospect out of Missouri.

Texas did just make it into the top eight finalist schools for Coleman back on Feb. 20. Getting him scheduled for an official visit in the near future will be key.
