Among the potential flips that the Longhorns could get retroactively in their 2021 signing class, there would be none better as it looks now than the former Michigan Wolverines commit/signee and four-star Central East wide receiver Worthy. As I noted earlier in this piece, Worthy did request a release from his signed National Letter of Intent and could be headed to the Forty Acres.

Worthy requested a release from his LOI on the late morning of April 15, giving way to the possibility that he could land with either the Longhorns or Alabama Crimson Tide. Sark was one of the primary recruiters on the staff of legendary head coach Nick Saban in pursuit of the commitment of Worthy’s commitment with Bama.

The possibilities of where Worthy could take his talents to next if he does in fact leave the Michigan program should be down to Alabama and Texas. But the possibility of him expanding his horizons for his next landing spot is always something that could happen.

Worthy held offers from more than 20 schools prior to committing to Michigan last summer. Some of the other notable schools on his offer sheet were the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, USC Trojans, and Washington Huskies.

Moreover, Worthy ranks as the nation’s No. 61 2021 high school prospect, No. 8 wide receiver, and No. 4 prospect out of California (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 99 high school prospect, No. 13 wide receiver, and No. 8 prospect out of California.
